Following your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you shall be collected by our driver and transferred to the Honey Badger Lodge where you will stay the night.
Today we will take you on a day trip to the waterfalls of Mt Kilimanjaro. Set in the foot hills of the mighty Kilimanjaro these waterfalls provide a relaxing day trip that enable you to see more of the countryside whilst also stretching your legs as you walk to the waterfall. You can cool down by swimming in the refreshing pools and enjoy a packed lunch sitting by the waters. In the afternoon we will drive you back to the Honey Badger Lodge for another overnight stay.
After breakfast, your driver-guide will collect you, and your safari will commence. You will drive from Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park which takes approx. 4 hours. You will have a picnic lunch in the park and in the late afternoon start your game drive. This is also the best time to view animals in this park. When approaching the Lake from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment lays the horizon, forming an impressive back drop to the lake. In the tall trees of the ground water forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, on the escarpment elephants stand in the shade. Animals frequently seen in Lake Manyara National Park include zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, warthogs among many others. Before sunset you will be driven out of the park and to Mto Wa Mbu where you will spend the night at the Fanaka Campsite.
Drive to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will make a short detour and stop at a view point which provides stunning views of the famous Ngorongoro Crater. In the afternoon you will continue your journey to the Serengeti National Park. It has the amazing landscape that earned it the Maasai name Serengeti – Endless Plains. In the evening, enjoy a game drive in the Serengeti. Again this is a great time to view game – particularly the carnivores as this is their favourite time to hunt. Before dark you shall return to the public campsite in Seronera, the heart of the Serengeti, for dinner and overnight stay. The following day you will have the chance to explore the Serengeti National Park in depth during a full day game drive. At around midday you will stop at one of the picnic sites in the park for lunch and afterwards continue your game drive. Before sunset you shall return to your camp.
After breakfast, begin your day with a morning game drive in the Serengeti and then later in the afternoon drive back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Once at the crater get some rest at the Simba Campsite, which is a public campsite located very close to the Ngorongoro Crater's rim.
After breakfast you will be driven down into Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy a full day game drive. This is undoubtedly one of the best places to see the rare black rhino in Africa, not to mention the prides of lion and the magnificent black-mane lions. There are lots of colourful flamingos and the variety of water birds. In the crater you are also likely to see leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, many members of the antelope family, and small mammals of all sorts. In the late afternoon you will be driven out of the Ngorongoro Crater and towards Mto Wa Mbu where you will spend the night at the Fanaka Campsite.
Today you will have time for some cultural interactions. Mto Wa Mbu village has more than 18,000 inhabitants of more than 120 different tribes. Therefore, the village offers a great mix of cultural activties. Due to its geographic location in the East African Valley the village also offers a great variety of trips such as walking and cycling. You can opt to take part in one of the mentioned activities or just stroll through the streets of the village or the markets. In the afternoon you shall head back to Moshi where you will spend the night again at the Honey Badger Lodge.
Spend a day with a local farmers on the slope of mount Kilimanjaro. On this tour you will learn how to harvest, process and prepare coffee as it has been done by the small-scale farmers from the Chagga tribe - a tribe known for growing both coffee and bananas. This experience culminates in a traditional lunch as well as a fresh cup of coffee from the very farm you stand in. The farm you will visit is in the Uru Shimbwe area which is situated approximately 45 minutes from your Lodge. The tour will start in the morning and continue until after lunch at which point you will return to your lodge.
Today you will fly to Zanzibar International Airport. A driver will pick you up and take you to Jambiani at the East Coast of the Spice Island. You will spend the following days at one of the most beautiful white sandy beaches of the Island. A great place to relax and enjoy the sunny weather. You will be staying at the Fun Beach Hotel. Comfortable rooms, excellent service and an endless beach just in front of you are waiting just for you! Various day activities such as snorkeling and diving can be arranged at the resort.
