Day 2: A Step Back in Time in Plasencia

The pearl of the North

• Pick up your rental car and hit the road for the 2.5-hour drive to Plasencia, with an optional stop in Toledo along the way

• Wander its narrow streets and discover the Romanesque cathedrals and 13thC ramparts

Day 3: Discover the Jerte Valley

• Today you'll drive to the Jerte Valley, about one hour from Plasencia
• Pass through the Garganta de Los Infiernosnature reserve and perhaps take a dip in the natural pools
• Witness the beautiful landscapes: mountains, waterfalls and cherry blossoms (over half of Spain's cherries are grown here!)
• You will also be treated to a small picnic of local treats

Day 5: City tour of Caceres

One of the world's best-preserved Medieval cities

• Drive from Plasencia to Caceres via the stunning Jerte valley
• Take a half-day private tour visiting the UNESCO-listed town of Caceres with an expert local guide
• Wander the cobbled streets of the old town, wrapped in 12thC Moorish walls, and see the Gothic and Renaissance architecture of the Ciudad Monumental

Day 6: Trujilo and Guadalupe

Day 9: To Sevilla

Say "so long" to Spain or linger in Sevilla
