6 reasons to travel to Spain
Why Espagne? Because the weather is nice all year round, the people are warm and friendly, and it's a wonderful country! Spain offers a wide variety of things to see and do for tourists of all ages and tastes.
Exlporing places of pilgrimage
Everyone has heard of Santiago de Compostela, and the chance to see this city is one of the great reasons to visit Spain. Galicia is a green and verdant region with a wonderful Atlantic coastline, making it ideal for lovers of nature and the great outdoors!
Inexpensive shopping
Whether it's everyday shopping items, clothes, accessories, or practically anything else you can buy in shops, prices are a lot cheaper in Spain than in the UK! Spain's big cities are full of all kinds of shops to suit all budgets.
Partying … Spanish style
There are several Spanish cities that enjoy a reputation for being all-year-round party cities. Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is one of these places, as are the island of Ibiza, which is especially famous for its glamorous nightlife, and the cities of Malaga and Marbella in the south of the country. A night out in a Spanish nightclub is virtually a rite of passage when visiting Spain.
Famous buildings and monuments
Whether it is Barcelona's Sagrada Familia or Granada's Alhambra, Spain's architectural heritage has been very well preserved, and the sheer grandeur of the buildings and monuments will leave you open-mouthed in amazement. Historically speaking, Spain was actually a very prosperous country with a varied and multifaceted culture.
Christening your new swimming costume or bathing trunks
With around 3,000 miles of coastline making up its Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts, a trip to the beach is more or less obligatory when holidaying in Spain! Both sides of the coast are wonderful, with long beaches and lovely little creeks and coves.
Sample the famous tapas
Spain's food is internationally famous, especially its tapas: small dishes designed for sharing and often featuring cooked meats, cheeses or other culinary specialities. Sampling Spanish cuisine is an integral part of exploring Spanish culture.
