Day 1: Welcome to South Africa!

Arrival in Cape Town...

You will be met by our local representative when you arrive!

Day 2: Exploring Cape Town

Your ​rental car will be delivered to the guesthouse in the morning

• Spend the day exploring Cape Town​ or take a trip to the top of ​Table Mountain​ via aerial cable

• For an authentic experience, book a ​Bo-Kaap Cooking tour​, a voyage into the life, food and culture of the Cape Malays

• Enjoy artisanal food, drink, live music and quirky clothing ​at one of the many night markets​!

• Return to your guest house accommodation

Day 3: Cape Peninsula & Penguins

• Explore the beautiful ​Cape Peninsula and visit Boulders Beach​, home to a breeding colony of over 2000 endangered African Penguins

• We recommend a stop for lunch at the Two Oceans restaurant (not included)

Day 4: Knysna town via the Garden Route

• Depart and drive to Knysna via the ​Garden Route, one of South Africa’s gems

• Discover unspoiled beauty, exquisite beaches, picturesque lakes and ancient forests

Visit the lagoon, home to the endangered Knysna seahorse and over 230 bird species

• Historic Knysna and its neighbor; Plettenberg Bay, have plenty to offer in terms of leisure and outdoor activities

Day 5: Optional activities around Knysna

Explore the Heads, only accessible by boat or kayak, offering a variety of hiking trails

• Hop on a sunset cruise to the Heads, inclusive of dinner

• Set of on a 4 hour eco-excursion in the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Expect a lovely nature walk followed by buffet lunch

• Knysna also offers ​biking and horse riding ​as well as a ​water park​ ideal for families!

​• Other nearby attractions include ​Monkeyland, the world’s largest free flight aviary and bird sanctuary

• Pass through the ​Tsitsikamma​ section of theGarden Route National Park, one of the largest marine protected areas in the world

• Head to the magnificent ​Storms River Mouth​ for a thrilling walk through the indigenous forest and over the iconic 77 meter long suspension bridge! Also enjoy ​canopy tours, Segway tours and / or a visit to the ​Big Tree​

Day 6: Oudtshoorn & ​Cango Caves

Depart for Oudtshoorn, fondly referred to as the ostrich capital of the world!

Some ​ostrich farms ​in the area are open to the public and offer educational tours, where visitors can learn about all aspects of life on the farm

• A short drive out of town takes one to the nearby​ Cango Caves,​ Africa’s largest show cave system

Explore the cave chambers in the company of qualified cave guides

Day 7: Stellenbosch: wine, culture & the outdoors

Depart for ​Stellenbosch​, a university town in South Africa's Western Cape Province

• Discover the vineyards of the Winelands and the Jonkershoek and Simonsberg nature reserves

• Join a ​walking tour, visit local ​art galleries, ​museums and / or enjoy tasting ​local cuisine

• Go for a cellar tour and wine tasting. Some vineyards have award winning restaurants on site where picnic baskets, containing locally grown produce and wine, can be prepared upon request

Hiking, horse-riding, wildlife experiences & golfing can all be enjoyed in the area
