destination was very good, Julia, at Tsar Travels was very efficient, she got everything organized like a swiss clock. all drivers, guides, hotel bookings, train booking worked very well and we optimized the time. Hotels were perfectly located. the one in Suzdal was less good but i think there was little choice there some of the guides were better than others. the guide in St. Petersburg the first 2 days (city tour and Hermitage) was the best, the guide in Peteroff was probably the least good...
The best parts:
organization, hotels location, itinerary
The worst parts:
not enough time to see everything :)

We had hired Evaneos for our 3 weeks long trip to Russia in July/August 2018. We had custom itinerary and Evaneos arranged for us Car with Driver as well as hotels and English speaking guides for entire trip. We visited Vladimir, Bogolubovo, Suzdel, Kostroma, Yaroslav, Serguiev Possad, Moscow, Kazan, Bolgar, Sviyazhsk, St. Petersburg, Shlisselburg, Velikiy Novgorold. All drivers were very nice and courteous. We had hired all guides who spoke English, some of them had heavy accent, but this was expected. Some of our guides were Olga in Vladimir, who was excellent she worked for a museum and she was very enthusiastic and gave us lot of info and answered all our questions. She accompanied us to Veggie Bro which served excellent falafal, we enjoyed her company and I would highly recommend her. Elena was our guide in Suzdal, she was knowledgeable and gave us lot of history of city. Ileena was our guide in Kostorma, she was lovely and very informative. We had Natalia in Moscow who accompanied us in Riverboat tour. All our guides and drivers were excellent for Kazan. They helped us out with our luggage and finding vegetarian food restaurants for us. We really enjoyed Kazan sightseeing with a day trip to Bolgar. Our guide and driver in St. Petersburg were excellent and they made our trip really enjoyable. I cannot emphasize the hard work of Julia and Jana who are representative of Evaneos for Russia with whom we worked almost a month and a half before our trip with over 100 emails exchanged and many Whatsup phone calls. Both were good communicators and we had speedy response to all our questions. I would highly recommend guides and drivers we were given. Our trip was smooth and I am very grateful to all involved in making our tour very successful. Thank you Evaneos and please thank all the drivers and guides that were involved in making our tour successful on our behalf. Last but least Jana & Julia, you are the BEST.
The best parts:
For the entire trip the drivers and the tour guides arrived to our hotel either on time or little before the scheduled time. This took away lot of anxiety on our part.
The worst parts:
There was nothing that stands out. There were some misunderstanding between Jana and the hotel as we were given one big bed instead of two single bed but next day we were moved and the room was nice.

I enjoyed myself and would like to visit during spring, summer or early days and expand my trip to other places
The best parts:
The tour guide. The weather was not greatest but tour guide made everything fun, interesting and was easy to talk too. She made things worth while when the weather was so bad that most would just want to sit inside
The worst parts:
The weather but no one can control that. Also, I wish Russia would allow flexibility with visas. I would have stayed longer or went other places but the visa is too exact were others have multiple entries and allow 30 day visits I wish this site did more to help with that.

The trip started in Moscow, where we spent a few days visiting the most famous sites including the Kremlin and St Basils, We also took in Russian art and the fabulous underground and our guide even let us go 'off piste' and we saw Tolstoys house and Chekov's grave at our request. We then took a short train ride (1.5 hrs) to Vladimir for a city tour and a short drive to Suzdal where we were introduced to the amazing wooden architecture of the area and also some beautiful churches and monasteries. Our next destination was Kostroma to see the glorious Ipatyev Monastery and the sun came out too! Next on the list was Yaroslavl which mixes the old and new and a fabulous view of the Volga. The same guide took us to Rostov, the old capital of Russia. Then we had an overnight train to St Petersburg. The journey takes 12 hours and is an experience in itself. Fortunately our guide was there to make sure we were in the right place at the right time. St Petersburg was our final destination and is a stunning, bustling modern city that blends the beauty of Venice and its canals with the grandeur of Paris. With a trip to the Winter Palace and also Peterhof it was difficult to decide which was the most beautiful. We were also very fortunate to be in St Peterburg for Russia Day so we got to see the parade down the Nevsky Prospect.
The best parts:
We thought this trip was fantastic. The selection of towns/cities to visit made us feel that we had experienced the true variety of what Russia has to offer. It made us both want to come home and learn more about the country and its history. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and the drivers were courteous and prompt. There was also enough 'free time' to allow us to experience Russia our own way. A fabulous holiday.
The worst parts:
It was unfortunate that we didn't get to visit the Cosmonaut Museum in Moscow as we were both looking forward to this but the exchange to a boat trip in St Petersburg was appreciated. Not much to see in Old Arbat Street on a wet Monday.

The best parts:
With the help of Evaneos Travel, and particularly their agent in Moscow Olga, we were able to preplan our holiday starting in Moscow, through to St Petersburg and finishing up in Tallin, Estonia. Olga's patience with us meant that we finished up with exactly what we wanted, and we saw the best of Moscow and St Petersburg in the limited time we had. The whole holiday was fantastic, from travel to accommodation through to the fantastic sites that we visited. Particular mention must be given to our two guides in Moscow and St Petersburg, they were so knowledgeable and gave fascinating insights to the places we visited.

We visited Moscow for 4 days and travelled to st Petersburg by Sapsan for 5 nights. It was in St Petersburg that we had arranged trips by tour guide.
The best parts:
We had an amazingly knowledgeable tour guide and as we had organised privately before we arrived, we were able to arrange exactly what we wanted and when.
The worst parts:
We were pleased with everything.
