Day 1: Welcome To Peru!

Day 2: Tour in the White City: Arequipa

The White City...
• Flight to Arequipa, discover the colonial centre of
   the 'White City'
• Visit the Plaza de Armas and the Santa Catalina
   Convent
• In the afternoon view Arequipa from
   Yanahuara and Cayma

Day 3: The Famous ​Colca Canyon


One of the deepest canyons...
• Look over Colca Canyon - approximately 3500m
   deep
• 3-hr drive to Chivay to visit the church and the
   traditional markets
• In Yanque your guests will explain to you a
   specialty: textiles, ceramics etc

Day 4: Magnificient View from ​Colca Canyon

Lifestyle of the Yanques...
• Spend the morning learning more about your
   hosts specialty
• Visit Cabanaconde, from where you will walk to
   Achachiua
• Appreciate the wonderful view over the Colca
   Canyon before returning to the village

Day 5: The ​Cruz del Condor

The heart of the canyon...
• Take the opportunity to observe the flight of the 
   condor in Cruz del Condor
• Return to Chivay, passing by the lookout point of
   Antahuilque
• Wonderful view over the Colca Canyon before
   returning to Llachón village

Day 6: Boat trip in the Lake Titicaca

 A day of water...
• Boat trip on Lake Titacaca to the Floating Islands
   made of reeds (totoras)
• 300 inhabitants of Taquile still live according to
   Inca period rules
• View the lake, Puno Bay and the Royal Bolivian
   Mountain Range

Day 7: Transfer to Cusco, arquaeological visit

• Cross the Colla plateau to Pukara - pre-Inca

• Continue on to Andahuaylillas, visiting the 'Sistine
   Chapel' of South America

Day 8: Visit of the Well-Known Four Ruins

• Start your tour visiting the Inca site of
   Tambomachay in Cusco
• Then walk on to Puca Pucara, Kenko and

• Visit the Cathedral on the Plaza de Armas, then
   Santo Domingo monastery.

Day 9: The Sacred Valley Discovery

View the ruins...
• Visit the archaeological complex of Pisaq,
   composed of various formations
• Stop at the traditional artisanal market of Pisaq to
   see local displays
• Meet your hosts in Patabamba where you will be
   staying the night


Day 10: From Patabamba to Huchuy Qosqo

A day of hiking...
• Trek to Sihuas, then Pukamarca, and overlook the
   village
• Continue onto Puma Punku Canyon - 'The Door
   of the Puma'
• Take the track to mysterious and isolated Inca site
   Huchuy Qosqo


Day 11: From Huchuy Qosqo to Chinchero

Mountains and country...
• Leave your hosts and walk towards Chinchero
• Huallata (4418m) allows you a clear view of the
   Sacred Valley
• Descend to Cuper Alto where shepherds live, and
   meet host family in Chinchero


Day 12: Discover Maras Culture

The people of Maras...
• Start the day with a tour of the Inca ruins before
   heading to Maras
• Meet your hosts, visit local hatmaker's workshop
   and 50-year business
• Workshops braiding maize leaves (pankas) and
   painting, then musical tales

Day 13: The Saline of Maras

Excavating salt...
• Bread straight out of the communal oven for
   breakfast
• Learn how to remove salt by a local inhabitant
• Visit Ollantaytambo's archaeological site before
   heading to Aguas Calientes

Day 14: The Wonderful Old Summit

Machu Picchu, we've arrived...
• Discover this famous archaeological complex,
   covered in morning mist

   to Ollantaytambo for the night
