None of us really knew what to expect from our time in Morocco but we were pleasantly surprised by how safe we felt every single minute of the day. Of course we had heard the stories of the markets..... how crowded and out of control they could feel, but perhaps we chose a great time of year - never once did we feel scared, worried or upset. We loved every minute of the market and the country.
Marrakech provided us with what we felt was the most ancient part of Morocco, Fez a bit more modern - but still very ancient and finally Casablanca provided us with a view of the modern side of the country.
The topography surprised us - from dessert like, to pure dessert with the Sahara to groves of pines trees and very green Fez. In all of that we saw Nomads, sheep herds wandering the fields, agriculture on a small scale and larger scale.
A beautiful country, offering beautiful views, and incredible history and wonderful people.
