Day 1: Welcome to Madagascar!

You have arrived...
• Upon arrival you will be met and taken to the
   town of Ampefy, west of Antananarivo
• Hike through the volcanic and hilly landscapes of the Itasy region  
• Take in the stunning vista of the lake and spend
   the night in a cosy local cottage

Day 2: Transfer to Bongolava

Countryside trekking...
• Witness the zebu, native cattle, pulling their carts and taking their harvest to the marketplace
• Brave dirt tracks through rolling hills and valleys
   before reaching the village of Belobaka
• Drive right into the centre of the Bongolava massif where you will camp overnight

Day 3: Hiking the Bongolava Mountain Range

A wild hike...
• Begin the day with a hike through the wild
   landscapes of notched 'Lavaka' hills 
• For the inhabitants, meeting along these trails is
   their only means of communication
• Spend the night sleeping in a local camp

Day 4: Canoeing - Direction Ankavandra

Onto the water...
• Follow a gentle stream along a staggering  
  escarpment with ponds dug deep into the rock  
• Look down to see the beautiful village of
   Ankavandra below 
• In the evening, we camp out under the stars on
   the sand banks

Day 5: Another Day on the Water

Water therapy...
• Our convoy of canoes continues gently onwards
   guided by the current 
• Keep your eye open for the wildlife surrounding
   the river
• Another night camping out in the sereneity of the sand banks

Day 6: Setting Up Camp Next to the River Gorge

Sand walls...
• The landscape changes as we approach the
   massif of Tsingy  
•The river banks now produce vast, impressive sand walls dug out by the current
• Set up camp for the night on a sandy promontory in the river gorge

Day 7: Arrival in Bekopaka

Scenic wonders...
• The morning's activity comprises of exploring
   a canyon embedded in lush vegetation  
• A unique opportunity to swim through the  
 fresh, natural pools excavated by the watercourse
• Move on to the impressive gorges, ready to set up camp under the mango trees

Day 8: Discovering Tsingy of Bemaraha

UNESCO site...
• A four wheel drive takes us to the heart of Tsingy de Bemaraha  
• This stunning UNESCO World Heritage listed site is formed by limestone peaks over 40 metres high  
• Walking through Tsingy before heading back to
   camp at the end of the day


Day 9: Next Stage - Belo Tsiribihina

Village life...
• Head to Belo sur Tsiribihina, through dry dense
   forest, and grassland dotted with villages
• At Belo you'll cross the river by ferry then continue on the track until you reach Morondava 
• Spend the night in a hotel, free to enjoy your final dinner at your own leisure and charge 


Day 10: Back to Morondava - Departure

Farewell friends...
• Breakfast at the hotel before returning to  
   Morondava for your flight home
• Be sure to take the opportunity for duty-free
   shopping
• We appreciate you visiting our country, and hope to see you again
