An ochre-colored desert, the Wadi Rum

My suggestion:
Avoid any unauthorized camps that don't comply with the access requirements for this protected area.
My review
During your stay in Jordan at some point you are bound to cross the Wadi Rum. Of course, you can choose the mode of transport that suits you best: on foot, on the back of a camel, or by 4×4.

Over a length of 70 kilometers, the superb red desert of the Wadi Rum is Jordan's second most visited tourist destination behind the peerless city of Petra.

My suggestion:
Rather than spending just a single day here, I recommend that you allocate several days to Wadi Rum. A night beneath the stars in the desert is an unforgettable experience.
My review
Cave paintings, Nabatean temples, strange stone carvings, sublime mountains, insane rocky formations, canyons... Wadi Rum is more than just the famous red color of its sand. It has become an essential part of the experience of tourism in Jordan.
