Reviews of Capo Carbonara

Capo Carbonara is the cape which delineates the eastern and western sides of southern Sardinia. It is located on the territory of Villasimius.

My suggestion:
Admire the sunset on Isola dei Cavoli (“Cabbage Island”), which is located just opposite Capo Carbonara, after enjoying a swim in this wild and magnificent setting.
My review

During my trip to Sardinia, just after the port of Villasimius and after travelling along the Notteri wetland and a small eucalyptus forest, I discovered Capo Carbonara. I turned left and arrived at the beach of Porto Giunco, dominated by the tower of Porto Giunco which stands directly above the sea on a cliff over sixty metres high.

The lighthouse of Capo Carbonara is located at the summit in a military area where access is prohibited, but I was able to admire the panorama of “cabbage island”. The latter also has a lighthouse, which is used for scientific purposes. It can be visited by taking a boat from the port of Villasimius.

I then went down to Cala Su Forru for a walk to the old granite quarry. By following the paths, I was able to admire the many coves and take the opportunity to go swimming in the crystal clear water.
