• After a hearty breakfast transfer to the start of the Wicklow Way in Clonegal
• Follow the Derry River along quiet rural roads and forest trails below the summits of Urlands Hill, Moylisha Hill and Raheenakit
• Arrive at the Dying Cow/Tallons, a cosy country pub for a light refreshment and a pint of Guinness
• Transfer to your accommodation

Day 3: Old Fort and Lush Countryside

• Depart from the village of Shillelagh, walk along winding country roads, forest trails and open mountain paths
• Marvel at awe-inspiring views of the lush countryside along Muskeagh Hill
• Visit the remnants of an old ring fort between Ballybeg and Ballycumber Lane

Day 4: Foothills, Mountains & Evergreen Forests

• Depart from Moyne and start to gain altitude. Take in the stunning scenery in the Wicklow Mountains foothills
• Hike through Ballyteige forest for a first glimpse of Lugnaquilla, the tallest mountain in Leinster
• Continuing further along the trail to Carrickashane woods, an area popular with mountaineers
• Enter the evergreen forest on Slieve Mann before descending into the Glenmalure valley, your picturesque home for the evening

Day 5: Glenmalure Glacial Valley

•  Wake up in Glenmalure, the longest glacial valley in the UK and Ireland
• Gain altitude at your own pace and make the most of the spectacular scenery in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains
• Explore the world renowned heritage site of Glendalough

Day 6: Village of Laragh

• Leave the beautiful Glendalough valley towards the village of Laragh
• Explore this the plentiful shops, restaurants and bars in the village
• Walk along peaceful forest trails, mountain paths and boreens to Roundwood

Day 7: Mountains, Lakes and Coastal Views

• Trek across the tops of mountains and marvel at amazing coastal views
• Continue along for a perfect vantage point to view Loch Tay, a dark brown peaty lake
• Head North, through the forest over White Hill and on to the exposed moorland of Djouce Mountain
• Descend off Djouce to view the Powerscourt estate and its waterfall

Day 8: Marlay Park Estate and Dublin

• Head up to Cairn at Two Rick for a panoramic vista of Dublin City and Bay
• Continue downhill until you reach the beautiful Georgian estate of Marlay Park, the end of the Wicklow Way
• Consider adding an extra night of accommodation if you wish to spend some time exploring the historic city of Dublin
