Day 1: Boyne Valley and Trim Castle

Day 3: Glencolmcille & Slieve League cliffs

Day 4: The Spanish Armada

Day 5: Flight of the Eagles and Achill island

Day 6: Connemara walk & Killary sheep farm visit

• Today, travel through Connemara, a beautiful wilderness populated mainly by sheep and dotted by hundreds of small lakes

• Discover traditional farmhouses whose inhabitants still speak Gaelic and observe ancientCeltic customs to this day!

Walk through Connemara to Killary Fjord, the only fjord in Ireland. If you wish, you can enjoy a boat ride on its tranquil waters

• Proceed to Killary Sheep Farm, an active mountain farm. Visitors can enjoy dog demonstrations, sheep shearing and mowing peat (book in advance)

• Stop at Kylemore Abbey, a Tudor style castle surrounded by the Twelve Bens, a chain of impressive mountains

Day 7: Galway & return to Dublin

• In the morning, head to Galway, an ancient medieval city with a multitude of things to do

• Visit Eyre Square, the Court House, Salmon Weir Bridge, the Cathedral and the Spanish Arch 

• Check out Claddagh Village, originally a fishing village and site of St Nicholas’ Church, which played an important role for the city of Galway

• Pass by Kilbeggan distillery, the oldest in the country. Although it stopped working in 1957, visitors are can discover the 200-year history of triple distillation

Day 8: Dublin departure

• Enjoy a free morning to visit the Georgian neighborhood, made up of lovely parks, monuments and home to the Irish Parliament

• Return the rental car to and depart from Dublin airport
