Olmeto is a pretty little village located at the top of a hill which reaches its highest point at 360 m. From its heights, you can take advantage of luxurious panoramic views over the Valinco Gulf and its surrounding area. The village starts at the hill and drops down to the sea, with access to approximately 20 km of beach. You'll find everything you need for your dream vacation in the area, as the village lives mainly on tourism revenue.
When I arrived in the village, I stepped back in time. The little rustic alleys breathe a light Mediterranean holiday climate. The main attraction in this peaceful village, of a little over 1,200 inhabitants, is the old washing-place, dating back to 1881. There are also remains of an old convent. There are hiking trails from the village to go walking in the surrounding area, one of which leads to a small chapel.
