Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica!

• Arrive at Juan Santamaria International Airport in San José

• Your private driver will deliver your travel kit and take you to your hotel

Day 2: Off to San Carlos Valley

Depart to the north of the country near the border with Nicaragua

• Leave behind the paved roads near Pital and reach Boca Tapada village

Explore the trails of the lodge with your local guide, who will teach you all about the nocturnal wildlife

Day 3: Birdwatching in Boca Tapada

• Go for a guided walk through the Maquenque refuge

• In the afternoon, visit the lodge garden and help to plant a tree on the property

• We also suggest participating in optional activities such as: horse-back riding, a visit to the town El Castillo in Nicaragua or canoeing in the lagoon

Day 4: Flora and fauna

• Today, discover the area by boat, a great way to immerse yourself in nature and observe the local flora and fauna (4h)

Visit a local school and share a moment with students and teachers

• On the way back, stop at Finca Doña Flor, for a tour and tasting of local products

Drive to the La Fortuna and its impressive Arenal volcano, where you will spend the night (3h)

• At dusk, go for a guided nocturnal wildlife walk

Day 5: Hike & hot springs

Enjoy the trails of the lodge which will lead you to a superb view of the San Carleña plain and the mountains of the Juan Castro Blanco National Park

• Later, take a guided walk to a reforestation area and plant a tree

• Finish the day with a soak in the hot springs

Day 6: Head to Monteverde

Hit the road to Monteverde, known for its cloud forest and eco-tourism activities (3h)

• On the way, enjoy the stunning views on the Arenal lake

• Arrive in the quaint town of Santa Elena

Day 7: Tarzan swing in Selvatura Park

• Today, let's fly through 15 cables and 18 platforms with an optional Tarzan Swing at the end of the adventure

Selvatura Park is one of the longest canopy tours in Costa Rica

Day 8: Leisure day in Monteverde Reserve

Choose from a variety of optional activities...

• Go for a hike in the reserves of Monteverde and Santa Elena

• Set off on a zip-line excursion & canopy walk over bridges suspended on wires

• Discover the jewels of the rainforest at Selvatura Park

• Visit La Lechería, a cheese factory created in 1953 by Quakers from the United States

• Horse-back riding and canyoning are other great options

Day 9: The Pacific coast

Journey to the Pacific coast of Costa Rica (4h)

• Arrive in Dominical, a small seaside city popular with surfers

Observe crocodiles on the Rio Tarcoles before reaching Quepos, known for sport fishing and palm oil

Day 10: Manuel Antonio National Park

• Today, explore Manuel Antonio National Park, known for stunning beaches and a coral reef

• Go for a swim, kick it on the beach, or go for a jungle walk

• This is the perfect place to observe wildlife such as sloths or squirrel monkeys

Day 11: Kayak adventure
