Day 1: Arrival in Paro

• Transfer from Airport the hotel.

• Depending on your time of arrival, visit Thimphu, the beautiful capital of Bhutan.

• Tonight enjoy a welcome drink and dinner.

Day 2: Explore the best of Thimphu city

• Today we explore the best of Thimphu city.

• First stop is at the National Memorial Chorten (Stupa), dedicated to the World Peace. You will also see the largest Buddha statue in the world, Kuenselphodrang, on a hill offering a panoramic view of the Thimphu valley. 

• Drive to Motithang Takin Preserve to see the national animalof Bhutan followed by the Institute of Zorig Chusum (Painting School). 

• Continue on to the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory where you will see the entire process of producing handmade paper. Here you can even try to make your own paper for a special souvenir.

• Majesty the King and the Central Monk Body. The evening is at leisure to relax – so why not stroll in the great atmospheric Thimphu town?

Day 3: Moving to Punakha

• After breakfast, we travel to Punakha.

• En route stop off at the Druk Wangyal Chortens (108 stupas). On a clear day, you will enjoy an amazing 360-degree panoramic view of the snow capped mountain peaks of eastern Himalayas. 

• Continue your journey descending into the sub-tropical valleys of Punakha and Wangdue Phodrang.

• Later, discover the temples Chimi Lhakhang and chen Phodrang Dzong).

Day 4: Fascinating Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten

• This morning enjoy a short hike to the fascinating Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten. It is majestically located on a ridge with stunning views of the countryside. There is no temple in Bhutan built as elaborately as this.

• Then we drive to Gangtey. En route you will see the fortress-like Wangdue Phodrang Dzong.

• Afterwards, explore this remote and beautiful valley; meet the local people and visit the Black-necked Crane Information Centre, which has lots of information on the valley and its famous migrating birds

Day 5: Back to Paro

• Morning included visit to the picturesque monastery of Gangtey Gonpa, which is located on a hillock overlooking a beautiful view of the Phobjikha valley.

• Our journey then drives back to Paro, home to the famous Paro Taktshang, National Museum, Drukair and Bhutan Airlines. The journey passes through the awe-inspiring mountains and lush vegetation along the highway and will photo stops during the journey.

• The evening is at leisure to explore the Paro town and may wish to hunt for souvenirs in Handicraft Shops

Day 6: Hike to Tiger’s Nest

• No visit to Bhutan would be complete without a trip to Taktshang monastery (Tiger's nest). It is stunning in its beauty and location. The trail is a wide, uphill the entire way but not overly steep, on the well-maintained trail through beautiful pine forest, trees festooned with Spanish Moss and fluttering prayer flags.

• The later part of the afternoon is at leisure – why not soak up in a hot stone bath at farmhouse?

Day 7: End of adventure!

• Your tour ends this morning with a departure transfer to the Paro Airport for your onward journey.Your guide will see you off.
