When to go
Australia is great to visit at any time of the year. It all depends on which part of the country you want to visit. Generally speaking, September to November is the ideal time.Entry requirements
British citizens do need visas to enter Australia. You can apply online for an electronic visitor visa.
You may need to undergo a health examination before a visa is granted, e.g. if you're over 75 years of age.
Health advise
You don't need to have had any special vaccinations to enter Australia unless you're coming from a country with a risk of yellow fever. Just make sure that you're up to date with all the vaccinations required in your own country.Airline tickets
It can be quite expensive travelling to Australia. Depending on the time of year that you travel, a return flight will cost between £600 to £1100.Time difference
L'Australia has three time zones and is between 8 and 11 hours ahead of the GMT. When it's midday in London it's 8 pm in Perth and 11 pm in SydneyLanguage
Naturally, English is the official language of this Commonwealth country. The accent is different to UK accents. Australians have the annoying habit of speaking fast and abbreviating certain words. It's just a question of getting used to it and it doesn't take long.Relevant contacts
