This itinerary has been crafted by our Local Agency with one idea in mind: to inspire you. Every element can be adapted to your needs and your interests, from duration to accommodation and activities.

Day 1: Arrival to Zvartnots airport

Transfer to the 3* hotel in city center (20 km).


Accommodation hotel 3* in Yerevan.


Day 2: Spectacular view on Mount Hatis

After breakfast departure to Kotayk region. Snoeshoeing  to the summit Mount Hatis (2526) which raises its isolated cone between the Guéghama mountain range and Mount Aragats. From the top a spectacular view opens up to the Guéghama mountain range (3597m), the Ararat biblical mountain (5165m) and the highest peak of Armenia - the Aragats (4095m).


After lunch, visit of the small church of Kaptavank XIVscl. Transfer to Aghveran. 


Dinner and overnight at the hotel 3*+. Hotel is at the foot of Mount Teghenis, in a beautiful setting.


Snowshoeing time 5h, altitude difference A = D 700-700m.


Optional: At the place of ascension of Mount Hatis, it is possible to climb the small volcano of Gutanasar.

Day 3: Mount of Ara Mythic Summit


Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the village of Yeghvard.


Ascent of Mount Ara (2585), part of a path passes in a small forest. Mount Ara opens a beautiful 360 degree panoramic view. View to monastery Saghmosavank  XIII century, standing at the edge of the picturesque canyon Kasakh, Ajdahak volcano (3597) third summit of Armenia, the reservoir of Aparan and of course Mount Aragats and Ararat.


Descent. Transfer to Aghveran. Visit the monastery of Neghuts X-XIII century.


Dinner and overnight at Aghveran Hotel.


Snowshoeing  time 4-5h, altitude difference A=D 837m.


Optional: Walk easier. In the place of ascension of the mount of Ara, possibility to make a walk in the crater of the volcano with the discovery of the cave is Saint Varvara.

Day 4: The jewels of medieval architecture in nature, under the snow

Breakfast at the hotel.


We will start our walk from the hotel to summit of Tegheniats Mountain.  After Descent  to ruins of the monastery Teghenis (VII c). 


Lunch (picnic) by the monastery Teghenis. Continuation of the walk towards Bujakan village. Transfer to Lake Sevan, the "Blue Pearl" of Armenia. Located on 2000 m above sea level, surrounded by mountains, the second biggest freshwater lake in the world, strikes the imagination by its majestic beauty. Visit of the peninsula with monastery Sevanavank. Transfer by bus to Noraduz, a medieval cemetery which is famous for a large number of early khachkars. The oldest khachkars in the cemetery date back to the late 10th century. Transfert to Martuni village.


Dinner and overnight at the guesthouse in Martuni.

Optional: In place of the ascent of Mount Tegheniats, it is possible to visit only the monastery.

Day 5: The Silk Road, the Caravanserai of Orbelians (Selim)

Breakfast at the guest house.


Small transfer to Madina village. Hike from the village to the summit of Armaghan volcano at 2780 m altitude. A beautiful view of the Argichi plateau and the Gueghama and Vardniats mountain ranges. If the weather is nice, you will have a beautiful view of Lake Sevan and Mount Ararat. Passage of the Selim pass. A breathtaking landscape. Visit Caravanserai of Selim (14th century) Built in 1332 by Prince Chesar Orbelian, the Caravanserai of Selim is a splendid witness of the past. On the Silk Road, it allowed to connect Persia to the West. Descent. Suite for Hermon.

Optional: At the Armaghan volcano climbing site, snowshoeing at the foot of Armaghan volcano, from the village of Madina to Nshkharq.


Snowshoeing  time 3-4h, altitude difference A=D 100-150m.

Day 6: Region of Vayots Dzor, an island of the Mountains

Breakfast at the hotel.


Small transfer to Goghtanik village. From here we will begin our ascent to the homonymous summit 2495m. A beautiful view of the mountain ranges of Vardenis and Vayots Dzor. Picnic in the mountains. Descent.


Transfer to Yegheguis, visit the village and church Zorats (14th century). The Zorats church is unique in its architecture among the Armenian churches. It is the only church where a whole army was once blessed. If it will be nice, hiking 2-3 hours to the fortress of Smbat (tenth century). Back to Hermon.

Day 7: Mount Ararat and Khor virap, emblematic sites of Armenia

Breakfast at the hotel.


Road to Gnishik Canyon. Visit the monastery of Noravank (13th century), one of the most remarkable monuments of medieval Armenia. Located in a beautiful canyon, where in the morning light the ocher rocks dance with that of the stones of the churches, this monastery offers a setting of exceptional beauty. Departure for the site of Khor Virap, located on a hill from where opens a striking sight on Mount Ararat. It is one of the sacred places of the Armenian Apostolic Church.


Road to the capital. Installation at the hotel 3 *  in the city center. City tour through the different sites of interest ... Republic Square, Esplanade of the Cascade with the statues of Botero, Opera Square, etc.


Dinner in a restaurant.
