Bariloche is Heaven on Earth if you love the great outdoors and have a penchant for chocolate! The town is charming and the surrounding forest seems to come straight out of Europe. The temptation to stay a while is unavoidable! You'll feel really at home! And if you're a foodie, you'll be pleased to know the area is famous for its chocolate and ice cream! You'll hear that its very touristy (yes, it is) and that it's a bit tacky, but I, for one, loved the place.
There are some great walks, hikes, bike rides as well as climbing and skiing (from June to October). In other words, you won't get bored. The town's also a convenient departure point for a tour of the famous 7 lakes. If you have the time, spend a night on the Llao Llao Peninsula. The views are incredible and accommodation-wise there's something for all budgets, be it hostels, lodges, luxury spas etc. For my part, I pitched my tent!
In short, if a tour of the south is on your Argentinian itinerary, , don't miss out Bariloche!
