Trip review
Argentina

loved their trip to Argentina

WE booked a 16 day vacation in Argentina through Evaneos. The highlight of our vacation was a 3 day tour around Salta in the Andes where we had an excellent guide and visited some wonderful locations. We also visited Bariloche in Patagonia and had a guided visit to visit to Iguazu falls which I would highly recommend. Our trip was well organised by Evanos and the local agent was very helpful. We had to re-book a flight (due to adverse weather) and this was handled smoothly by the agent in Buenos Aires.

Best parts:
This was the highlight of our visit to Argentina. Salta is a beautiful city and our hotel was located just off the main plaza (a great location). The hotel (Hotel Balcon de la Plaza) was charming and the staff very accommodating. The tour of the Lerma Valley, Cachi, Purmamarca, Tilcara and the Quebrada de Humahuaca were the highlights of our vacation. Our guide for the 3 days was from Uma travel (Javier) and he was great. He had an excellent knowledge of the local history and culture. Javier also chose very good restaurants for lunch and dinner featuring the local cuisine.
Worst parts:
Unfortunately, our final stay in Buenos Aires, which was over Christmas (23-27 December) was disappointing. The agent booked us into hotel Casa Sur Palermo since over the Christmas period Palermo was supposed to be more lively, with numerous bars and restaurants open, compared with the centre of the city. Unfortunately, the opposite was the case; the majority of the bars and restaurants were closed. In addition, the hotel was not disappointing as many of the facilities were not available. The other disappointmnet was our visit to an estancia on 23 December. Unfortunately, the property we visited, RANCH VILLA MARIA, was not a ranch at all but a country hotel where the main activity was organized polo matches or polo lessons (neither of which we had requested). The only activity was a horse ride (20 minutes) and a carriage ride (15 minutes).

We are really glad about your time in Iguazú and Northwest. We work with the best local operators in each destinations, so it´s good to know that everything worked out perfectly. Unfortunatelly, regarding the early check in and late check out in Buenos Aires, we did not understand your request. We will explain the passengers about the hotel´s regulations next time (to confirm you the room when you arrive, necessarily you have to pay extra money). About Casa Sur Palermo, we are sending straightaway your comments. We have never had a bad review about it before, but we will have your insatisfation as a highlight. The Ranch we have sent you was the VIP option. As you had the PREMIUM services in all the destination, we believed that the touristic (crowded) option wasn´t good for you. I am really sorry that problably you would prefer the “touristic” tour. I will keep this in mind for next passengers. As we already discussed, we will take the detailed information to improve our trips. Instade of the bad points, we are really glad that you enjoyed the program that we had planed :) We are looking forward welcoming you again in your next trip to Southamerica! Regards, NataliaSee more
