Day 1: Welcome Day

Once arrived at the airport, our agent will be there waiting to take you to your hotel.  Depending on arrival time you might also start to explore the city or join an afternoon/evening yoga class as a family. You can also enjoy a massage session to relax after the long flight while the kids go swimming. In case you want to know how to interact more with Albanian people during your stay, learning some ‘shqip’ on your first day might be great!

Airport to Tirane, 25 min - Optional: Family Yoga: An hour yoga class at one of capital’s best studios.

Optional: Massage session for parents / Swimming pool for the children: A massage session in one of the city’s wellness centers and swimming time for the children.


Day 2: Lin - Tushemisht - Sveti Naum in North Macedonia

Today you will join the picturesque village of Lin. A fishing village at the foot of a hill on a peninsula. By going down the village you can enjoy the view on the lake and will also have a boat tour in the Albanian side of Lake Ohrid.

Another small village on the shore of Lake Ohrid, Tushemisht served as a natural setting for the filming of some of the greatest movies of our country. The decor is so rich and varied that UNESCO has added this lake (one of the oldest in the world) to the World Heritage List in 1979 for its fauna and flora. The lake and the mountains on the horizon offer you a breathtaking view!

Now it is time for some historical moments while you visit the beautiful monastery of Saint Naum. This is an Eastern Orthodox monastery in the Republic of North Macedonia, named after the medieval Saint Naum.

Albanian language class: 1- hour class to learn some basic Albanian.

Tirana to Lin, 2h: Exploring the village of Lin on the shore of Lake Ohrid.

Optional: Fisherman Boat Tour along the shore of the village.

Lin to Tushemisht, 40min: Exploring the village of Tushemisht and the Park of Drilon famous for the white swans swimming there.

Optional: Fisherman Boat Tour in the park of Drilon.

Tushemisht to Sveti Naum, 30 min by foot: Visit of Sveti Naum Monastery in Macedonia. You will cross the border with North Macedonia by foot to reach the monastery.

Day 3: Rehove village – Sotira Farm

You leave Tushemisht and prepare for another special experience called Rehova. This is a village well known for its expertise in food. This village, close to the border with Greece, is renowned for its culinary expertise and stone houses. The lunchtime is planned here in order for you to enjoy the warmth and hospitality of the southern Albanians. And also have the opportunity to cook traditional recipes such as byrek (pie).

Imagine beautiful landscapes surrounded by mountains inhabited by many species of birds. A fountain where the fresh and limpid water crosses the rocks of the top of the mountain, secret passages through the forests: Welcome to the farm of Sotira! Here, you can enjoy the local food cooked in a traditional way (wood oven and barbecue). Different activities such as horseback riding and hiking are offered at the Gërmenji park that surrounds this farm.

Option: Cooking classes with the family in Rehova, using fresh local products to make traditional Albanian pie (Byrek).

Option: Horseback riding and hiking around the farm or the park of Germenj.

Day 4: Canyoning in Benje - Gjirokaster

You leave the farm today and head to the marvelous Benja, well known for the thermal curative waters. Not only this but the views and landscape during your exploration will be amazing and unforgettable. In Benja you may swim in the natural pools and also visit the Canyon of Langarica to do some canyoning.

In the afternoon, you will drive on the direction of Gjirokaster. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005, this city is full of distinctive districts and shaded terraces. But its main touristic sites are the ethnographic museum and its citadel, which will take you back in time, years ago, through the history of Albania. Gjirokastra has retained its characteristic “old Albanian houses” architecture.

Farma Sotira to Benje, 2h 40 min - Benja Thermal Waters: Relaxing and bathing in the natural pools.

Benja - Canyon of Langarica: Explore the canyon by hiking for about 2-3 hours.

Langarice, Permet : Benje to Gjirokaster, 1h 40 min: Tour of the town, the fortress and the traditional houses while also tasting traditional cuisine.

Optional: Visit of the fabric where different types of Gliko (similar to jam) are made, in Permet.

Optional: Visit of an artisanal stone carving artist. Gjirokaster.

Day 5: Butrint - Ksamil - Sarande

We will visit today the site of Butrint, which is near the Greek border. Butrint is an ancient Greek city on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1992. You will discover a historic landmark, an open ancient city testifying of centuries of human occupation.

You can relax at the beach and do different activities like kayak, paddle, boat tour around the beach and islands of Ksamil.

In the afternoon you will drive on the coastal city of Saranda, where you can enjoy the promenade of the city and the several fish restaurants.

Gjirokaster to Butrint, 1h 40 min: Tour of the famous archaeological park of Butrint.

Tour of the Lekuresi castle, the port and the Synagogues in Saranda and relaxing time by the beautiful crystal-clear sea of the south.

Butrint to Ksamil, 10 min.

Optional: Boat tour, kayak tour, stand-up paddle etc.

Days 6 to 7: Himara (Albanian Riviera)

Today you will go down the Riviera where you have the opportunity to travel between typical Albanian villages such as Dhermi, Borsh and Qeparo. You can stop in Porto Palermo to visit the fortress of Ali Pasha too. Located on a small peninsula, this abandoned building is now surrounded by lush vegetation. You will be able to visit the building to discover its octagonal room and its dome.

In the afternoon you reach the town of Himara, a city surrounded with rolling hills and crystal-clear water perfect for swimming.

Sarande to Himare, 1h 20 min: Tour of the Albanian Riviera and the typical villages. Visit the fortress of Ali Pasha and its history.

Optional: Swimming, kayaking, paddle, boat tour, walking, hiking and so on.


Day 8: Divjake - Tirane

After relaxing at the coasts of the Ionian Sea, you will be heading to the national park of Llogara to enjoy the superb view from the mountain down to the sea. Your next destination is Divjaka National Park. Here, you have the chance to go for a bike tour into the forest, hike to explore the rich flora of the park and also watch rare kinds of pelicans in the Karavasta Lagoon, such as the curly pelican.

After enjoying the delicious fish and seafood salads of the nearby restaurants, you drive towards the capital.

Himare to Divjake, 3h 20 min: Exploring the National Park of Divjake.

Day 9: Farm visit - Tirana

A city since 1614 and the capital of Albania since 1920, Tirana is the country's main cultural hub. You will be able to discover a city famous for the colorful facades of its buildings and the harmony between the various religions in the country. The visit to the National Museum located on Skanderbeg Square will be a nice introduction to the rich Albanian history!

Your lunch is planned in one of the most famous farms in Tirana, where the children will be learning about different plants and gardening, will pick vegetables and fruits from the fields of the farm, wash and cut them and also prepare and serve the food. All the family will then enjoy lunch together. The rest of the day will be used to finish with the visits of the capital or to relax before the flight back home.

Day 10: Last day of your family adventure in Albania!
